Very cool basic intro to Blender, covered setting up user preferences, window splitting,

adding basic objects like mesh and curves and gave the beginners a very quick start.

hotkeys (new for me):

* on numpad : align to local orientation

 

Ctrl-Tab: select mode 

Alt rmb : select a row of vertex/faces 

Alt-m : merge vertices 

shift-tab : snap (select vertexes to be aligned, size y 0, snap ) 

o, alt-o shift-o: proportional editing

w : special menu (subdivide) 

g-z-z : grab on local axis z

ctrl-e: edge special  

ctrl-Alt -numpad 0 : set camera view to local

h & alt-h : hide and unhide
