So we had basic objects, next we started to use the modifiers and got to animation.
modifiers: wave, latice, curve
Parenting: ctrl-P : first select child, then parent, make parent
basic animation with ipo,rigging and connecting the mesh with the armature,
ctrl-i: insert ik constraint (alt-i to remove)
Shift-s : snap menu-> cursor to ...
on subsurf : shift-e to control the strength of subsurf
