blender 3D for visualisations

It is simply great to be able to bring "pictures in mind" ~~to paper~~ to reality by having free tools that enable me to share these ideas with others. To me it is fun and i use the blender as my digital brush and pencil.

rich features

Blender is good for 3d modelling, video editing, compositing, physics simulation and game development. And last not least, it has python included.

It might take a while to learn it, but for me it turned out to be a "universal visualisation tool"

openness

Blender runs on the most important plattforms and can export its results into a wide range of file formats, so the results of modelling can easily be used in other applications. That makes blender a truely open software.
