Wireless Community Weekend Graz 07
The funkfeuer exhibition in the "kunsthaus graz"
We had a intense community weekend; people from all over europe came to think about the future of wireless lan networks. One big player in high-end routing was present via the chief developer Hannes Gredler, we had a B.A.T.M.A.N. testing net by Alex Neumann and Armin Medosch with his talk "45 rpm". Aaron Kaplan brought the first OLPC to austria and was also developing OLSR.
See the flash movie above for the best of it(german language only)!
My humble contribution for the funkfeuer artlab 2007 in Kunsthaus Graz was a blender file that reads an XML-file (for positioning the nodes) and a Graphviz file (for the connection info and colors) to generate a dynamic map of the current funkfeuer mesh net.
The result is a live-view on the traffic situation of our 120+ router network!
You can see the result in flash, download the avi-file(12.7 MB) or get the blender files.
The colors in the meshnet indicate the current link quality between two routers:
- green - good
- orange - medium
- gray - bad
- blue connections are tunnels
